Our Privacy Promise

CLEARDAYS was built with privacy as a core principle. Your personal journey—check-ins, journal entries, mood tracking, and progress—stays entirely on your device. We never see it, and we designed it that way intentionally.

We do use a trusted payment processor (RevenueCat) to manage subscriptions, but they only handle purchase information—never your health or wellness data.

The Short Version

• Your health data stays on your device. Your check-ins, journal, mood, and progress never leave your phone.
• No account required. No email, no password, no personal information collected.
• No cloud sync. All wellness data is stored locally on your device.
• Subscriptions handled securely. We use RevenueCat to process payments—they see purchase info only, never your health data.
• No tracking. We don't use analytics that identify you.
• No selling data. We have no personal data to sell.

Information We Do NOT Collect

CLEARDAYS does not collect, store, or have access to:

• Your name, email address, or contact information
• Your location or GPS data
• Your health data or medical information
• Your journal entries or personal reflections
• Your check-in history or progress data
• Your drinking patterns or habits
• Your financial information (beyond App Store purchase records held by Apple)
• Any content you create within the app

All of this information is stored locally on your device and never transmitted to us.

Information We May Receive

Subscription & Payment Processing (RevenueCat)

We use RevenueCat, a trusted subscription management platform, to handle in-app purchases and subscriptions. When you subscribe to CLEARDAYS Premium:

RevenueCat receives:

• Anonymous device identifier (to restore purchases across reinstalls)
• Purchase history and subscription status
• Transaction receipts from Apple
• General location (country) for regional pricing
• IP address (temporarily, for fraud prevention)

RevenueCat does NOT receive:

• Your name or email address
• Your check-ins, journal entries, or progress
• Your mood data or drinking logs
• Any health or wellness information
• Any content you create in the app

Why we use RevenueCat: RevenueCat is GDPR-compliant and allows us to manage subscriptions without building our own servers. This means we can offer a premium experience while keeping your health data completely on-device.

Apple App Store

Apple also processes your payment and maintains your subscription. Apple's handling of your data is governed by Apple's Privacy Policy.

Anonymized Crash Reports

If the app crashes, Apple may send us anonymized crash reports that help us fix bugs. These reports contain:

• Device type and iOS version
• Technical information about the crash
• No personal data or app content

You can disable crash reporting in your iOS Settings > Privacy > Analytics & Improvements.

App Store Reviews

If you leave a review on the App Store, that review is public and associated with your App Store account. We may read and respond to reviews but have no access to your account information beyond what you publicly share.

How Your Data Is Stored

On-Device Storage

All your personal data—check-ins, journal entries, progress, settings—is stored locally on your device using Apple's secure storage systems. This data:

• Never leaves your device
• Is protected by your device's security (passcode, Face ID, Touch ID)
• Is included in your iCloud backup if you have that enabled (encrypted by Apple)
• Is deleted if you delete the app

iCloud Backup

If you use iCloud backup, your CLEARDAYS data may be included in your device backup. This backup is:

• Encrypted by Apple
• Controlled by you
• Not accessible to us

You can exclude CLEARDAYS from iCloud backup in Settings > [Your Name] > iCloud > Manage Storage > Backups.

Third-Party Services

Apple Services

CLEARDAYS uses the following Apple services:

• App Store: For app distribution and subscription management
• StoreKit: For in-app purchase processing
• Local Notifications: Scheduled entirely on your device

What We Don't Use

CLEARDAYS does NOT use:

• Third-party analytics (Google Analytics, Mixpanel, etc.)
• Advertising networks or ad tracking
• Social media SDKs
• Third-party crash reporting (beyond Apple's built-in system)
• Cloud databases for your health data
• Any service that would transmit your wellness or health information

AI Features

On-Device AI (Apple Intelligence)

If your device supports Apple Intelligence, the AI Coach feature uses on-device processing. This means:

• Your conversations with the AI Coach are processed locally on your device
• No conversation data is sent to external servers
• Apple does not have access to your AI Coach conversations

Future AI Features

If we introduce AI features that require cloud processing in the future, we will:

• Clearly disclose this before you use the feature
• Make cloud AI features optional
• Never send your personal data without explicit consent

Children's Privacy

CLEARDAYS is designed for adults and is not intended for users under 18 years of age. We do not knowingly collect information from children. The app's content addresses adult topics (alcohol use) and is rated accordingly in the App Store.

Data Retention

Since we don't collect your data, we don't retain it. Your data exists only on your device for as long as you keep the app installed.

If you delete the CLEARDAYS app:

• All locally stored data is permanently deleted
• Your subscription status remains with Apple (you can manage it in Settings > Subscriptions)
• We have nothing to delete because we never had your data

Your Rights

Because your data stays on your device, you have complete control:

• Access: Your data is on your device; you can view it anytime in the app
• Correction: You can edit your data directly in the app
• Deletion: Delete the app to delete all data, or use in-app options to clear specific data
• Portability: Your data is yours; future versions may include export features

For users in the European Union (GDPR), California (CCPA), or other jurisdictions with privacy rights: because we don't collect personal data, most data rights provisions don't apply. You already have full control of your data on your device.

Security

Your data is protected by:

• Device Security: Your iPhone's built-in security (encryption, passcode, biometrics)
• App Sandboxing: iOS prevents other apps from accessing CLEARDAYS data
• Secure Storage: We use Apple's recommended secure storage APIs
• No Network Transmission: Your personal data is never sent over the internet

Changes to This Policy

If we make material changes to this privacy policy, we will:

• Update the "Last Updated" date at the top
• Notify you through the app before changes take effect
• Never retroactively change how we handle data you've already provided

Our commitment to privacy-first design is fundamental to CLEARDAYS. Any changes will maintain or strengthen privacy protections, not weaken them.

CLEARDAYS is built on a simple principle: your wellness journey is private.

Your check-ins, journal entries, mood tracking, and progress stay entirely on your device—we couldn't access them even if we wanted to. The only data that leaves your device is what's needed to manage your subscription (handled securely by RevenueCat), and that data contains zero information about your health or wellness journey.

Compare this to other apps that sync everything to the cloud, require accounts, and use your data for analytics. We chose a different path.

This isn't just a privacy policy. It's a promise.

Data Sub-Processors

Neither sub-processor receives your health, wellness, or personal journey data.
